Call for Volunteers!
The Newly Expanded Interstate Farmers Market Wants You!

The Interstate Farmers Market, now in its 7th year, will begin the 2011 season on Wednesday May 18, at its usual location, 3550 N. Interstate Ave at Fremont (Directly next to Overlook Park and across from Kaiser). We will be open from 3pm to 7pm and are located directly across the street from the Yellow line Overlook Max stop.

We are excited to announce that this year we will be expanding to a Saturday Farmers Market as well, located at De La Salle High School, on the corner of N. Interstate and N. Lombard streets. The Saturday IFM is located directly across the street from the Yellow line Lombard TC Max stop. Our Saturday hours will be from 9am to 1:30pm, and we will open each week starting May 21, 2011.

Now that the Interstate Farmers Market has twice as much to offer, we need twice the number of volunteers to help make it run smoothly! We couldn’t do it without you and we want and need your help!

We have volunteer shifts running between 2 and 5 hours each:

Wednesdays: 12:30pm-3pm; 2pm-4pm; 2:30pm-7:30pm; 2:30pm-5pm; 4:30pm-7pm; 6:30pm-8:30pm

Saturdays: 7am-9am; 8am- 10:30am; 8:30am-11am; 8:30am-2pm; 10:30am-1:30pm; 1pm-3:30pm

Some activities require physical activity and several do not. We have volunteer opportunities for people 18 and older and all levels of ability and we will be happy to match you with your specific preferences in mind.
