Opening day of the Interstate Farmers Market last week was sunny and sweet! A great way to start the season…
We introduced a few new vendors and farmers this season and more veggies are on the way!
Thank you to Sweet Leaf Organics for joining us this season and providing much produce this past week. More farmers will be setting up their booths in the weeks to come…

We’re excited to announce the start of the 2008 season on Wednesday, May 14 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Market Manager, Bob New, will be ringing the opening bell to start of this season which runs through Sept 24.
Many of your favorite farmers and vendors will be returning this season and we have also added a few others too!
Kicking off the season will be local band, The Underscore Orkestra, playing a mix of Klezmer, Balkan, Gypsy Jazz and Swing Music to set the mood for a fun and yummy summer!

___ Set-up (1:30 - 3 pm) Set up canopies, tables, signs and direct vendors to designated parking area. Assist musicians or other community members as needed.Requires some lifting. Do not wear open-toed shoes.
___ Greeter (Choose one: 2:30 - 5:00 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, 2:30 - 7:00 pm)
Greet people as they enter and exit the market, assist with crowd counts and direction pedestrian traffic.
___ Information Booth (Choose one: 2:30 - 5:00 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, 2:30 - 7:00 pm) Answer questions about the market, sign-up volunteers and assist with demonstrations.
___ Credit Machine (Choose one: 2:30 - 5:00 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, 2:30 - 7:00 pm
Processes EBT/Debit/Oregon Trial transactions and distributes and monitors wooden tokens.
___ Parking (Choose one: 2:30 - 5:00 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, 2:30 - 7:00 pm)
Direct cars and bicycles to designated parking areas. Assist with overall pedestrian and bicycle safety.
___ Floater (Choose one: 2:30 - 5:00 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, 2:30 - 7:00 pm)
Relieve volunteers for breaks, assist with trash disposal and assist with any unforeseen needs at the market.
___ Breakdown (6:30 - 8 pm) - Take down canopies, tables, signs and other equipment. Collect and empty trash and recycle containers. Requires some lifting. Do not wear open-toed shoes.
Our opening date is less than 2 weeks away! On Wednesday, May 14 the opening bell will be ringing in the 2008 IFM Season at 3:00 pm. Come join us for food, music and community!
IFM is excited to be bringing you a variety of food this year. We’ll have many farmers and food vendors providing a wonderful selection of fruits and vegetables as well as other prepared foods such as tamales, pizza, breads and treats for humans and dog friends too!
