HOME CALENDAR OUR MISSION CONTACT US VOLUNTEER!

The Interstate Farmers Market is open from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday — rain or shine — through September 27th. It's held in the same convenient North Portland location as last summer's market, across the street from the Kaiser Permanente Interstate Campus, adjacent to Overlook Park, and the site is right across the street from the MAX Yellow Line Overlook Park Station. There is also ample free parking for both cars and bicycles.

Market vendors at the Interstate Farmers Market sell a rich variety of quality fresh and local produce, baked goods, cut flowers, artisan cheeses, meat, fish, and much more. (Fruits and vegetables are seasonal and include only those that are actually grown in the Portland area.) There are no arts or crafts vendors.

At the market, you have the opportunity to deal directly with producers. You can meet the very farmers who plant, nurture, and harvest your vegetables or who tend the hens that lay your eggs. You meet the bakers who bake your bread.

When you shop at a farmers market, there's no middleman. With every purchase, you have an opportunity to ask the producer how the product was grown or prepared. You can get expert advice about how it should be cooked, served, or stored.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the Interstate Farmers Market or if you'd like to find out about becoming a market volunteer, please contact us by phone, e-mail, or mail.
